On its own, a caravan isn't much fun. To be part of a great holiday, it needs a great site. Since the sites have such impact on our holidays, I've decided to go on a hunt to find out which parks enhance our holiday experiences and which fall short. Sometimes it's a friendly welcome, a beautiful location or superb facilities that make you want to return, but whatever the magic ingredient is,
I want you to tell me and the readers of Practical Caravan.
Tell me about your top site
From the August issue, Practical Caravan is launching a new site review section. As well as in-depth reviews of special parks from me and other members of the Practical Caravan team, I want to hear what you think of the sites you've stayed at recently.
This is your chance to share your park experiences with other caravanners. I'll include three of your reviews alongside mine in each issue of Practical Caravan, and the writer of each review that's published in the magazine will receive £50, which should pay for that next weekend away.
How to submit your review
I shall take your reviews for the magazine from our sister website, www.caravansitefinder.co.uk. Getting reviews on there is easy. Simply register for free on the website, search for the park you want to report on and click 'Add a review'. If your park isn't listed on the website, click the 'Request a new entry' button at the bottom of the page and a listing will be made for you. If you don't have internet access, you can pop a written review in the post, to me, Alyson Warnock at the address in the Contact link bleow and we'll get it added to the website. Sadly, we can't do this for reviews that are emailed in.
Review guidelines
There are guidelines on the website for writing reviews, but the basic rules are that you should have visited the park within the past three years, you can only review each site once and aggressive language and content that's not family friendly isn't allowed. Reviews must be around 150 words long to be considered for the magazine. If you have any questions, please email to alyson.warnock@haymarket.com or call 0208 267 5000 and ask for me.
We'll be including your reviews from the next issue onwards, so log on to www.caravansitefinder.co.uk and get writing!
