South coast seaside and inland attractions for top family holidays
Sussex by the sea, surely one of England's most popular holiday regions, stretches from Chichester in the
west to Rye in the east. In between, there is a series of holiday resorts - such as Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Brighton, Worthing, and Bognor Regis - to suit every taste.
But Sussex is more than just seaside resorts. Inland from the coast are
historic houses, castles, museums, steam railways, racecourses, nature reserves, forests and beautiful
countryside. All of which made choosing what to include in this 'Great Escape' a difficult task. In the end we chose the best attractions to make three, brilliant, themed days out. But whether you decide to visit East or West Sussex, you will find more than enough attractions in either region to keep the whole
family happily occupied throughout the holiday. |
