Tucked into the north-east corner of East Anglia, Norfolk is a perfect place to escape to, with its huge stretches of flat, unspoilt, scenery and expansive skies to match. It's even the Queen's rural retreat of choice: Sandringham is one of many fine historic buildings open to visitors; and there are others to see in Norwich.
