Getting there
Herefordshire is in the Heart of England, and as such is easy to get
to from most of the UK. Hereford is just 56 miles from Cardiff, 135 miles
from London and 138 miles from Manchester. There is easy access
via the M4, M5 and M50.
From the South, simply take the M4 until junction 20, where you
will join the M5. Continue along the M5 until you reach junction 7,
where you drive onto the A44. This road will take you to Leominster,
and from there the A49 goes on to Hereford. Alternatively, you can take the M50 at junction 8 of the M5, before joining the A438 at junction 2, which will take you into Hereford. From the North, take the M6, then M5 at junction 1, then the M50 at junction 8. At junction 2 of the M50 take the A438
to Hereford.
The town of Leominster is often choked with traffic, but it can be avoided easily. Use the B4361 which
is never busy, but watch out for some sharp corners.
