Practical Caravan August 08 Issue
Towcar Awards '08: the toughest test of tugs, and Le Rally for you and us
Welcome to the August issue of Practical Caravan. In the bag with your issue, you should have found the Towcar Awards 2008 supplement. The testing for this took place in April and was attended by a dedicated test team from the Camping and Caravanning Club, What Car? and Practical Caravan, backed up by Swift, AL-KO, Witter and dozens
of other people to conduct a thorough examination of towcars. We hope you enjoy the results of this awesome undertaking.
Away from the serious business of testing, we've had a good look at the magazine and moved some of the furniture around this month. The main reason was to make room for your site review section. I say yours, because you, our readers, will be writing the reviews. If you get one published, we'll pay you £50. We reckon that's enough to pay for another weekend on site. Turn to the new Parks section on page 100 for full details.
Speaking of parks, Mrs Donnelly and I stayed at the Camping and Caravanning Club site in Cambridge for the late May bank holiday weekend and had
a great time. Hello to the people we met over the course of our stay. I fancy we'd have met more of you if the weather hadn't intervened on Sunday afternoon.
There are plenty of other trips we've planned for the year that we're looking forward to, but
the whole Practical Caravan
team is most keenly anticipating the week-long jaunt to Brittany in September. Arranged in conjunction with Eurocamp International, it will include day trips to St Malo, Cancale and Mont St Michel, plus all manner of other activities. We'd love you to join us. Details appear on page 49. Maybe we'll see you there.
Happy caravanning.
Happy caravanning.
